====== St Mary & St Joseph’s Calander iCal provider ======


This page details how to use the iCal provider to view the 
St Mary & St Joseph’s calander on a phones Calander application.
====== What is it ======

iCal is an open standard supported by a number of Mobile and PC calendar applications for distributing calandar events. iPhone and Android can use iCal to display calendar events within the Calendar application. 

The school iCal provider generates a iCal file from the St Mary & St Joseph’s calander:

===== iPhone Instructions =====

To setup on an iPhone, follow these instructions:

  - Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  - Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars. 
  - Tap on Add Account... under the Mail section.
  - Launch the Settings app, tap on the Mail, contacts, calendars button, and then tap on the Add account button.
  - Tap on Other.
  - Tap on Add Subscribed Calendar under the Other section.
  - Enter the following server location of the calendar. https://www.retallack.org.uk/school.ics
  - Tap the Next button
  - Tap the Save button  
  

The school calendar should now be visible in the Calendar App.


===== Android/ Google Calander =====

  - On a computer, open Google Calendar.
  - Next to "Other calendars" on the left, click the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  - Select Add by URL.
  - Enter the following server location of the calendar. https://www.retallack.org.uk/school.ics
  - The calendar will appear on the left side under "Other calendars."
